One question, asked in four different fields.

How do you trust a model's output when you cannot check it directly? In domain adaptation that means choosing a hyper-parameter with no target labels. In reinforcement learning it means assigning credit from two demonstrations. In generative AI it means binding the output to a contract a solver can verify. Same question.

Why this

Science needs more than a copilot. What is worth building is the layer between an open question and a result someone else can rerun — manuscript, code, artifacts and review context kept together, with provenance intact. Underneath it sits a distinction that is easy to state and easy to lose: computational validation is not scientific validation. A run that finishes is evidence, not a validated claim. It is also why the papers below are separated the way they are.
